A wonderful heavily timbered house with Inglenook fireplaces that dates way back to the 17th century. In the grounds are the remains of what is reputed to be part of the Abbey of Wendling, founded by Sir William de Wendling in 1267.

Guests at Scarning Dale may use the heated indoor swimming pool (free use for 1 hour per day, swimming hats required), play snooker on a full size table or table tennis. The 25 acres of pretty countryside surrounding Scarning Dale is a bird watchers paradise and an inspiration to painters. Visitors can also enjoy lots of animals within the grounds including horses, donkeys, rabbits, geese and chickens.
